One more time, with feeling

I'm back at the hospital. This time, I got here by ambulance. We woke up at 3am for little gummy who needed a feed. Something was not right with my underwear. Turns out I was lying in a pool of blood.

There seems to be retained products of pregnancy logged in my ute (pieces of placenta). i bled massively. I have never seen that much blood in my life.

I stable right now.

Awaiting a D&C. Within the hour.

I look forward to updating you on all the great stuff about my gummy girl.

I'll leave you with a picture.

  6. Oh, no, retained placenta is seriously no good. It amazes me that "childbed fever" still exists today in 1st world countries. I'm glad to hear that your case is on its way to a happy ending.

    What a sweet picture.

  8. Oh, oh, oh, this is scary, Augusta. Sounds like it was being taken care of, and I am deeply grateful to the universe and your docs for that. But still .... How frightening for you. I am sending you so many healing vibes, all of Canada won't have so much as a cold for months. But mostly I pray you are well, healthy, and home with gummy soon -- and that this is the end of the bumpy ride. I love you so much. Xoxoxoxoxoxo, Oat
